Search - Christmas, Present (Unabridged audio)

This is a very short story read by the author. I didn't like the author's tone or her accent (sounds like the female cop in the movie Fargo). I thought the story overall was alright.

I listended to this story at work, which was not the best idea. It's a real tearjerker. The only thing I did not like about the story, was that the author (also the reader) used the same voice for everyone, so it made it hard to distinguish who was talking

Although this audio book is about a woman who finds herself dying during the Christmas season and on her 14th wedding anniversary, I didn't find it to be a sad story at all. It is very uplifting and may make you think about what you'd do in a similar situation. Laura, the main character, has time to say her goodbyes and she does with dignity and even humor. You may shed a few tears, but you'll also find yourself laughing.
