This book is very sweet and completely unique! There is always a uniqueness to Melody Carlson's books. This is definitely an enjoyable Christmas read!
Cute and quick Christmas story. Not sure who or what, Matilda is, you can decide for yourself. It wrapped up a little too quickly for me. But this is a nice read at Christmas.
Did not enjoy this book. The multiple points of view was confusing, especially in such a short book where there just isn't time to get background on all the characters. I didn't find the content inspirational or heart-warming - on the contrary, I often found it depressing or downright irritating.
Why was everyone in this small town so petty and quick to judge? Why were there so many mentions of things like abusive spouses, injured veterans, dysfunctional families, etc that really detract from the Christmas mood? Why did it take over 70 pages for God to even be mentioned in the story?
If you are looking for a quick, cozy Christmas read, I wouldn't recommend this.

This was a real cute Christmas story.
Another good Christmas read from Melody Carlson. The character Matlda was delightful. A good, wholesome, fun read. Just what you expect from Melody Carlson. Keep the great stories coming.
Loved this book. It was a smooth flowing read. Each incident within the store was like a visit from an angel. Each "gift" was something that helped the individual person it was given to; a repair to their soul.
