With his books, is it necessary to read them in order? I have read Lamb, but I know it's a bit different from the ones he set in Pine Cove. Some of his books sound more interesting than others, so if I don't need to read them in order to fully appreciate them, I won't.

Thanks in advance!

I don't think so. I've read almost all, and they all seem to stand alone---but it's been a while, I do go in spurts with him, and I confess that I do not like some of his more recent books---just too over-the-top silly. I hated Fluke, and did not care for Lamb--not offended, just silly.

But his first 2-3 books, Practical Demonkeeping, and a couple others, that I think are all in Pine Cove, are among my alltime favorites.

There are several threads about him in other of the other forums, I think paranormal, or maybe fantasy.....you may want to check those out, too.

The vampire ones should be read in order or you would not get the inside jokes.   The rest can be read in any order.  And Fluke needs to be read before you read the latest vampire book Bite me.

Really, I would stick w/only reading Lamb if I had to do it all again....but that's just my opinion.     I read Lamb first and it really is so much better than anything else he ever wrote.

My favorite is The Stupidest Angel and this is a good one to read before reading any of the Pine Cove books.
