It may have some plot holes, but the Amber series is still a great read. Some interesting imagery and a fantasy classic. The second five aren't quite as good as the first five, but still enjoyable.

first two books in my all time favorite fantasy series - I wouldn't even let go of this one, if not for the fact, that I recently purchased them all in one volume. Corwyn is a great character, who undertakes an incredibly journy through the fantastic world of shadow dimentions of one true place - Amber
