A baby is found in a privy by a night worker. He brings that baby girl to a friend and this whole story begins. Four main characters lives become so intertwined that you would think that they were known to each other, but that is not the case.
This was written so well. Small tie-ins with each character keeps you interested in how the story will meld and you do not want to stop reading until you get those answers.

The book could have had a much higher rating from me if it had not had casual cruelty and violence. The plot did not necessarily call for it, and at times it left me nauseated. It did have surprises and was well written. It also contains typos and poor word usage which can be put onto the editors. If you can get past the cruelty it's a good book. Too dark for me.

This was a very good book. Full of intrigue and heartache. Totally unexpected ending. Well worth reading
