I don't want to post any of these (I've been able to get rid of lots of books, but I can't seem to get rid of my cookbooks) but I was wondering, are these postable on PBS? And if they are, where can they be found? The Book Bazaar? The Cooking thread?

I have been told they are postable on two conditions - that they are full-length books, not pamphlet sized, and that they have no advertising in them, which invalidates media mail. A lot of locally published cookbooks have ads inside them - it's part of how the organizations use them to make money.

If they were actual cook books, not pamphlets and didn't have ads in them then they would probably have to be posted with a PBS assigned ISBN#.  The one's I have would be postable but they don't have ISBN#'s on them.  Which would make them hard to search for in the PBS database. If you were looking to order books like these you could try posting a thread in the book bazaar.  If you had a bunch of them and didn't want to take the time to post them all-you could offer them as a freebie with a book order or offer them to someone as a deal and just post some of them.  You just have to be careful that you don't send anything with advertising in them as media mail. MM is subject to inspection and if they find a bunch of advertising in something they'll charge the recipient 1st Class postage.
