This is by the same author as ""To Dance with Kings", "The Silver Touch", and "Banners of Silk" - this is a historical romance of the Charles II court, anyone who loves 17th century medieval storylines will love the tale of a babe who has a huge drop pearl placed in her tiny hand, a girl who grows up trying to sustain her staunchly Royalist manorhouse from Cromwellian change, she wants to marry her childhood sweetheart, but her stepfather has other plans.

This was a decent historical novel, not life-changing but it kept me reading.
