She'd grown up in the limelight of her mother's fame-and now protected her ailing mother from scathing exposes. But would Mitch Prescott's reporter instincts uncover all of Shay Kendall's painful secrets. / There were things best left hidden on Seven Devil's Mountain. But feisty, fragile Alison Harvey was searching for something she did not want to talk about. Only rancher Travis Daltton could help her-but gig he dare risk opening up to a vunerable woman. Good!

"Ragged Rainbows" by Linda Lael Miller is the first story. (It's also available as a separate book.) In it, the heroine who is caring for her ailing mother falls in love with a journalist (Mitch) who wants to write a biography of her mother. The passion is there, but the story flips back and forth between the heroine's readiness to accept true love and use it to build a relationship.

"Something to Hide" is by Laurie Paige. It's the first "Seven Devils" story and about a senator who sends his oldest daughter to find and bring home her younger sister. Naturally, she's living on Seven Devils mountain, very much in love, pregnant and unwilling to go back to her family. In the meantime, the heroine falls in love with a mountain man who's protecting his broken heart from a previous marriage. It's a nice story.

Two worthwhile stories to read!
