Connie Weaver -- teacher, caregiver to her difficult mother, divorced single parent -- doesn't have time for anything else, like romance. Years ago, she thought she and Jim Campbell could have a life together, but that was before she realized the one thing he wanted was the only thing she couldn't give. FROM THE PUBLISHER
Connie Weaver: Teacher, divorced single parent and lone caregiver to an elderly and difficult mother. She doesn't have time for anything else--like romance. Years ago, she thought she and Jim Campbell could have a life together, but that was before she knew that one thing he wanted was the only thing she couldn't give.
Jim Campbell: Successful businessman who's left the business. He's back at school--as headmaster this time. He's a great teacher. He can handle the mostly wonderful, sometimes difficult students, the demanding faculty and the interfering parents. What he can't figure out is what to do about Connie.

Even after all these years, Jim Campbell still has a lot to learn!

I enjoyed this book. It had a cute story line and most of the characters were likeable. If you like stories with happy endings and good people this book is for you.

I love this author's writing. I am working my way through her books. So many warm, wonderful stories that really make you think. While these are not Christian fiction, they have the same values...that character and being true to yourself and what you stand for count. Although this book was written in 1998, it deals with the bullying issue that is so common today in a straightforward, sensible way. Because the author is a retired teacher, she writes this story with knowledge and real help for a difficult problem.

Great story!
