This book was very different compared to what I thought it would be. Instead of saying this is where I went with my cat and this is what we did, she makes the cat talk, which ruins the story in parts, and mainly talks about her getting stoned and who she runs into that tells her vulgar stories. Not my idea of a book about traveling with a cat at all. Wasn't very fun to read. Especially when she wouldn't directly point out that it was the cat that was talking, you had to figure it out yourself or else a few sentences later she would say that he said that.
This book was okay but she talked to much about clothes and held to many conversations with her cat, who evidently talked.
I thought the book was fun to read because she revealed how other people from other countries view our country and way of life. It is also a very good travelogue of the United States with interesting and factual information. And if you love cats, you will fall in love with Claudius.
Really entertaining travelogue by an English woman travelling through the United States with her cat, who gives comments on things like her choice of men, etc. Fun book. I want to read the sequel.
