I recently received a book with a cleaved spine.  I didn't mark RWAP because it didn't matter to me and I just wanted to read the book.  My question is this, is a cleaved spine postable?  When I first joined seems I saw somewhere where this not allowed but I can no longer find anything on it.  Thanks in advance for your answer!

The word "cleaved" is no longer used here, although you're right -- it used to be the term.  Instead the Swappability Critera now say

Binding:

  • Must be intact, with no separation on the inside or outside of the book
  • If the book tends to open at a particular page, this is OKAY
  • Small amount of fraying or denting at top or bottom is OKAY

It opens at page 60/61, but otherwise in tact so I guess this means it is postable?  Thanks, Patty!
