This was an interesting perspective from a Direct descendent of Clive of India. Peter Holt, the author, travels back to India to retrace the footsteps of Clive. The book takes place in the 80's. The author takes you everywhere Clive went, sometimes with big disappointment and sometimes with success. It's an edgy read, sometime with humor, but not your normal travel book. I have been to India once and intend to go back. The India I saw was not as dirty as the India in the book. And I didn't go in the relight district. I went in 2010, so the country had made some vast improvements. I enjoyed this book.
