For private investigator Mick Dante, casual surveillance of ethereal Emily Thorne, the beautiful redhead who lived in the next building, was definitely his pleasure and none of his business. Until the day she innocently walked into his office to hire him.....
Mick steeled himself against her sea green eyes, her gentle voice her sweet intuitions as together they tracked her missing brother. But there was no fighting it? now that Emily was at close range, he was falling hard. But she deserved a nice life with a nice guy..not him. Passion with Emily would surely be heaven, but ending it as he must would surely be hell.

PI Mick Dante is surprised when the red-haired beauty, Emily Thorne, he had been privately watching from a distance shows up asking for help finding her brother. Mick isn't sure where the line is between admirer from afar and stalker, and he really isn't sure he hasn't crossed that line with Emily, but close range contact with Emily is very different and far more satisfying than watching the woman from afar. Mick is more comfortable at a distance, but love takes close range. Will these two crazy kids ever get together? Of course, of course, this is a romance after all, however there is a bit of a mystery and a good story to Close Range.
