Though it's a bit out of date (published in 1992), this is still an interesting book about how Hollywood works -- who are some of the major figures, who is liked, who is not liked, and why. Many of these people are still around and still working, so it's interesting to see how opinions have played out. Chapters finish with a "rule" -- something from that individual's life & career that illustrates what you do, or don't do, in Hollywood. Lots of entertaining anecdotes and what I think is a reasonable degree of honesty and candor.
