This Inspector Alleyn mystery was great. The story takes place simultaneously on two continents. The inspector is in the US while his wife, Troy, is taking an impromptu river cruise with a group of passengers that may include an international criminal who deals in the art trade. The characters are very well developed. The Alleyns' stories finally converge when one passenger disappears and is later found dead. I know you'll enjoy it!

Okay, how many of you look at this title and immediately thing of a bunch of policeman? I hope more than just me! Actually an artist named Constable created some very lovely and expensive paintings. The question becomes, who would kill someone over this clutch of Constables? Superintendent Roderick Allyn's wife is quite alone in trying to solve this mystery on a boat trip. Very interesting. If you have not read any of Ngaio Marsh before, you are missing a whole series of excellent books!
