A somewhat entertaining book, but also proof that eventually even the best writers run out of ideas. When they get to that point, then it is time to throw in enough sex and violence to cover up the fact that the plot is essentially the same as he or she used in previous books.

Just another reason why "Best Selling New York Times" authors continue to disappoint me.

Don't get me wrong, there are several of Higgins' books that I thoroughly enjoyed and are still on my shelves. This just won't be one of them.
