I hate to say that although this was a good read, I was a bit underwhelmed. The plot and characters were basically her Savage Seasons series regurgitated. Shiloh was the older sister with "flaming hair" (Joanna) and Luke her younger brother (Tag). They lost both parents and rather than an evil uncle trying to cheat them out of their inheritance, it was an evil neighbor trying to buy their property out from under them by any means necessary.

Enter Shadowhawk (Windhawk) the proud and powerful (sometimes arrogant) chief of his people. He was drawn to Shiloh, but conflicted because the whites are the enemy of his people. He adored Luke and hoped to one day have a son with the boys courage and bravery...blah, blah blah.

All-in-all this was a good book, but I'm surprised that she basically plagiarized herself. I wonder if she even realized she had done it, or perhaps hoped that the Savage Season series was so old that no one would notice. well I did because the Seasons is one of my favorite series. But even with all my complaining, I wouldn't discourage anyone from reading this novel. Like I said it was a good read, although kinda short.
