I have read the titled story from this collection of short stories several times, and each time finding myself wondering what happens to the character. Although Shirley Jackson passed away while writing this story, her husband felt it was best to share her last work with the world, and for those of us who have read this story, we're very grateful. If you've ever thought about writing, this is the perfect story to read, and try your hand at picking up the pen where Shirley tragically left off.

Also, be sure to read the short story in this book, called "The Bus." You WON'T be disappointed!
