From back cover: The most killer comedy routines from the first decade of COMIC RELIEF - the hugely successful comedy "televents" organized to raise money for America's homeless - are gathered together in one incomparable volume. You'll find Billy, Whoopi, and Robin - of course - and also Garry Shandling, Bill Maher, Paula Poundstone, Richard Jeni, Richard Lewis, Louie Anderson, Bob Saget, Sinbad, even "Weird" Al Yankovic ... and the list goes on and on. Here's an absolutely stellar line-up of stand-up comedians, standing up for the best of causes, in a fall-down-laughing-funny collection that is absolutely the most hysterical book of the millennium!

Comic Relief was a televised fundraising effort for the homeless. This book contains outtakes from the comedians' acts during the telethon. Some decidedly less funny information about and personal stories from homeless people rounds out the chapters. Lots of funny stuff in here--I read most of it aloud to the driver on long car trips.
