This book was so stupid! I've loved Dane's other books so I was really disappointed. It was so politically correct, it was BORING! Yes, we get it, she's a great mom and puts her kid first. Yes, he's a good guy and respects that her kid always comes first. The kid was annoying too as she was always saying "funny" kid like things, but never threw a tantrum or interupted them like would happen in real life.
The plot of her having been beat up by her former junkie husband, but unwilling to talk about it with this guy who supposedly totally gets her and loves her and her daughter so much, but isn't good enough to share this with him. Even though he KNOWS something like that happened.
And ***Plot spoiler alert*** she MURDERED her abusive ex and feels like a murderer. REally?!?! He broke your leg in 3 places, was holding you hostage, beat the living daylights out of you and when he dropped the gun he was using against you and you shot this wired junkie, it's murder? Whatever...
Just so annoying b/c this chick had no flaws. Oh, other than murdering her ex psycho abusive husband.
The sex scenes are fine. Good, but the timing of the sex scenes was always too convenient. Between clasees, someone had taken the kid to the "zoo" or whatever.
Dane just really disappointed me this time. It's like she didn't have the energy to make any of these characters or even the storyline interesting. Save your money. (or credits.) I spent $15 and was so excited and practically threw it against the wall several times.
Overall, boring, blah and predictable. VERY predictable.

This was a first read for me by this author. The writing was good, but it just seemed kind of dull to me. I guess the author didn't portray the passion that should have been there, this being a new romance for the characters. There was no real spark. Especially since Brody was described as such a good looking man - 6'4" and full of muscles and tattoos. It really kind of annoyed me too that these two on the cover looked nothing like they were described in the book.

He knew just what 2 do 2 her and how and when. They were awesome 2gether, even Elise's lil girl was adorable. The family on Brody's side is awesome. Even Erin, Todd & Ben r in it a bit from Laid Bare, even a HOTT menage!! i loved these 2 2gether 4 sure!! real sweet and especially STEAMY!!!

Gave this story a 2.5 because I enjoyed the story-line. But other than that I was bored. At one point put the book down for several weeks dreading to pick it back up. I didn't really think the story had a very good climax/resolution. Just felt like I was reading to get to the last page out of commitment to finish the story so I could get on to book 3.
