I would really like to read a book set in medieval Europe that is about the common people. Any recommendations? |

A few suggestions - I'm sure you'll get many more here. Pillars of the Earth and World Without End by Ken Follett. Kristin Lavransdatter a series by Sigrid Undset The Time Traveller's Guide to Medieval England by Ian Mortimer (nonfiction)

You might try the Bridges over Time series by Valerie Anand. The first book is The Proud Villeins. Both Kelly and I enjoyed this series, as well as other books by this author. Linda |

Several of the historical mystery series feature commoner main characters, such as the Roger the Chapman books by Kate Sedley and the Hugh Singleton books by Mel Starr and the very excellent Brother Cadfael books by Ellis Peters. |

Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks about the great plague of 1666 .. set in a small common town outside London. Very interesting book & one I thoroughly enjoyed. Kelly

Thank you for the suggestions. I have read Pillars of the Earth and Year of Wonders. I loved them both, in fact Year of Wonders would make my top 10 list. |
