I found Baer's writing dry and unexpressive. His ideas seem a bit far fetched and out of line with my experience with dogs. He seems to advocate training your family instead of your dog.

This book was good. It helps with explaining how their mind works. Like Caesar Milan's point of view, we need to train ourselves in order to train our dogs. If we are educated with the right knowledge we will have the correct tools to utilize in dog training. Afterall, there are no bad dogs, only bad or irresponsible owners.
