Very informative even if you are not really interested in working outdoors. There are other jobs involving the environment that include writing or teaching for instance. This book includes chapters on education, communication, environmental protection and energy, and natural resource management. At the very least, one can learn about the environment by checking out the AmericaCorps program. (Similar to the peace corp only the service is done in the United States).
