The book is older from the late 1960's and it is a lovely view of the middle east at that time as the book has more pictures and historical commentary than recipes. If you are really into that or the area, you might enjoy it. There are very few recipes in it, so that was a big disappointment to me. Many of them, if not most require ingredients that are relatively hard to find.
