If you haven't read the Midshipman Bolitho series, you MUST! Beautifully written, with great battle scenes that have you right there with them...wonderful seaman characters..if you can manage it read them in order...this series is every bit as good as the Horatio Hornblower series or Aubrey Maturin series, both nautical classics! You will feel the ship roll, hear the sounds on deck, smell the battle, and see their fear...I promise.
