I have a soft spot for Conan, but this was just not a very memorable book. It isn't bad, just nothing really stands out about it. More of a Conan the soldier book than a Conan fighting dark monsters book.

Treasure beyond imagining waited in the temple of Ahriman, a god so evil and terrifying that even the despicable priests of Set aided in his banishment. Not a bad story, but not as good as the original 12 Conan books. A typical fantasy adventure, certainly enjoyable.
