This is a compendium book that includes the following classics: Red Nails, Jewels of Gwahlur, and Beyond the Black River. Conan at his Pict-ass-kicking best. This is the real Robert E. Howard Conan. Not the new stuff.

FINAL PARAGRAPH OF THE BOOK:
"Barbarism is the natural state of mankind" the borderer said, staring somberly at the Cimmerian. "Civilization is unnatural. It is a whim of circumstance. And barbarism must always ultimately triumph."

I guess that kind of puts the whole AIG mess in perspective.
