I am becoming very concerned that I have THREE books that were mailed to me that are about to go missing. They were mailed  the beginning of the month and I haven't received them yet. One was sent with a DC but it was only scanned when it was first mailed. The other two don't have DC.

I am worried that my account will be flagged or something because the three books will be missing all at the same time. I have been receiving other books from swaps and that I have ordered okay, so I don't think it's my post office.  I can't imagine what is going one. Is there anything I should do?

You could PM the person and ask them if they've mailed the book.

I've had a couple of books arrive just after they went "lost."  Most of them, though, were never mailed, were mailed very late, or were sent to the wrong person.

if you are the receiver your account won't be flagged.  you can't control the senders or the USPS!

where are the books coming from?  If they are coming from Alaska or Hawaii they often go lost before they arrive.

Mary,

Hang in there - if it's not your fault, there certainly won't be any repercussions!  The site owners are pretty smart guys, so have faith.

I agree with the suggestion to PM the sender to verify the mailing date.  Sometimes people click "I have mailed" before they actually have done so.

I hope your books arrive soon!

It could be flagged if she chronically has books go lost.  But I don't think in this instance it would.

I would PM the person and ask when they mailed the books.  Like Marjorie said: it's possible they didn't actually mail them when they said they did.

I had a lady PM me once right before a book was about to go lost.  She said she had given her husband a bunch of book orders to mail and he put them in his trunk and forgot about them. She found them 3 weeks later.  I don't think her account was closed because all those orders went lost.  Especially since she was PMing people to let them know.

Have you checked to see if the person is still active?  You can do this by clicking on the PM button and then clicking on their profile if they have one or taking a look at their shelf or WL.  It'll say if the accounts been closed.  If you see recently posted books or WL books than they're still active. If they are inactive-you'll get your credit back when the books go lost.
