I just joined as a Boxer and have had my first offer accepted. I went to retrieve the person's address, but could not find an option to hand write the address nor an option to print with PBS postage. The only options shown to me were to print a wrapper with or without DC.
I choose to print with DC and was charged the 27 cents. The print page now says "
However, the label it printed indicates the DC still needs to be paid for?
Welcome Sandra! To answer #3 The 27 cents is the site fee for being able to print DC, that is what it is talking about when it says you won't be charged again if you have to reprint the label. At the post office you need to pay the postage for electronic DC, which is 18 cents.
You save by not usng the DC from the PO, which is 75 cents postage. The 27 cents helps PBS cover the cost of providing credit assurance on packages mailed with DC. As soon as your package is scanned, you will get your credit. If it gets scanned you don't have to wait for the member to mark it received and you don't have to worry about the book going lost in the mail.
1. I don't know, I think you'd have to write it down. You also would not be able to get the DC I don't think.
2. Current BoB does not offer PBS postage. Some will post a dummy book to their shelf and then use the mail to a friend button. You can adjust the weight to whatever the BoB is and then use PBS postage when you print the label. Just make sure to use a book that is not Wish Listed.
