I received an email and was offered a book that I did not have on my wishlist. I cancelled the order but was wondering how this happened. I had never even heard of the book before! I'm worried that it could count against me for multiple cancellations if it happened again. Can anyone explain this? Thanks! |

There might have been a problem in the system and the email was sent to the wrong member, or you might have mistyped the ISBN when adding a book to your wish list. Or maybe you clicked the +Wish button accidentally at some point. Or maybe you really did want the book but didn't realize that the title had changed between the initial announcement and the final release (this happened with one of Diane Mott Davidson's books recently. It was announced as one thing, and I put it on my wish list, but the final title ended up being completely different.) There's no way for us to know. R&R could tell by looking at the database history. |
