I received an email from "The PaperBackSwap Team" because they removed all my Dover Color Books. I thought that they were acceptable since they were educational books that were used in the homeschooling community. I know we never used them as coloring books, but wonderful sources of information.

Was there an overturn of the decision since the last time I read it?

Thanks for the help

Theresa

If you go to the Help Center to find the What can be swapped here? document and then to the section Anything that is not a book and hover your mouse over not a book, you will  find Coloring Books at the end of the list. You may wish to consider using the forum Bazaar for these. From your description, they look to be in great condition.

Oh ok. But then why are they on so many people's wish lists? If you search, you'll find 193 of them requested.

Please don't think I'm being picky - just really curious. :)

Maybe they don't realize they aren't supposed to be swapped? I'm not really sure - it's just a guess.

People whishlist a lot of things here that should not be posted on PBS. Because PBS gets their database info from outside sources, they cannot filter out the things that are not allowed to be posted on here. All they can do is remove things when they get posted to those ISBNs. I remember Dover being discussed before and many people in the forum did not think they should be excluded. A forum discussion does not negate the fact that the site does expressly prohibit coloring books and have apparently gotten to the Dover in their clean up. Since you cannot ask for credits for them, you may try the route Daniel mentioned and offer them in the Book Bazaar as freebies with orders.

Thank you all for your replies. I'm glad that there's a wonderful board like this to ask questions. I'm not upset or anything that they got taken off, just curious why.

You're right about the boards and discussions. I guess I just filed the info wrong in my head (imagine that happening! LOL) and must have missed it on the unpostable books. Sigh.. I'm just really sorry I made unnecessary work for someone.

Thanks again, everyone!
