Can someone help me with this?

I had requested New Moon (it's on auto request) and two people declined because of my requestor conditions.- no problem with that I understand.    Today when I went and checked my wish list  New Moon is back on there and I am number 19 out of 391 people.  Why am I number 19?  I thought I would stay at number 1.

I am very confused :(

It does seem a little odd that you would have been way back at #19 but, the rules do not state that you go back to #1 it actually states that you go back to your previous place in the WL line.  If this is a very WLed book there could be alot of action...people taking accounts off hold that were ahead of you, other individuals that got passed up for RCs, people who had books that went lost, etc.  Odd but, could be legitimate.

Mmmmmm.......  There are several reasons why you could have dropped back one or two places on the WL line.   For example, Someone in front of you was expecting the book in the mail and it was just declared Lost.  In that case they would have been been added back to the WL in front of you.

But 19 places?  I think that's odd - even for a heavily wishlisted book like this one.   I would e-mail PBS about it and ask.

Thanks.  I think I will email PBS to see what's going on.

Thanks for your help :)

Were you posting on the boards recently?  It's possible that someone checked out your WL and posted it directly to you not realizing that you had conditions.  Or maybe someone had you on their buddy list and posted it directly to you-again not realizing that you had RCS.

Another reason might be the RCs - you were declined twice.  If enough people ahead of you had RCs (and this is probably stretching it that 18 people would have been declined for RCs, but guess it's possible), it might be that you really were that far down.  Pat

Could you imagine the poor sucker going through 19 denials to people with RC conditions? I think we'd have seen a post from them!

My first guess would be like Mary said - someone posted to you directly without realizing you had RCs. Second would be that a bunch of the reasons collided with some people coming off of hold, someone's book going lost or someone getting a RWP, and some people having RCs that were denied.

Contacting the site would be the best way to find out. They see things we don't.
