I ordered books from a member on 9/27 and they have still not accepted the order. What is the advantage to doing this?? What happens if they do not accept the order?? Will I be given back my 4 credits? I do not want to cancel this order. Should I wait and make them cancel it if they do not intend to accept the order. I have never had this happen to me I am new to paperbackswap and this has left me wondering what's up plus it seems kinda rude to say the least!!!! Would appreciate some guidance..Thank you!!!!!

They have 5 days to accept an order. If they do not respond during that period the order will be canceled and your credits returned.

If they don't accept, the requests roll over to the next person in line with those books to send to  you.  You'll probably end up getting the books from 4 different people instead of from the same person.

They have 5 days to respond, and they may be waiting until the end of that because they need to delay mailing the books (some people can only mail once a week). They may also be waiting until the weekend when they have time to find the book and confirm it is postable; I don't accept requests until I've double checked the book.

It is best if you do not cancel the request and let the system time out on it because if it is an inactive shelf, the books will be removed from their shelf at that time. It will also indicate to the site that the member isn't responding to requests so that they can put that shelf on Hold until the member comes back to deal with things. If you cancel, the books remain on their shelf and requests continue to go back to them.

If you only ordered all 4 because that person had them, watch for the ordered to roll to the next person tonite and cancel any that you don't want before the next member can accept the request.
