I have been waiting for a book to arrive for over a month...keep getting automatic notices from p.back swap asking if i have received it.  Yesterday, I received a notice from the sender stating the book came back to her, and that she will send it back out.  Today, I received a notice asking if I want this book from the site. Not sure if  this is the same book from the original sender, or another one from someone else.  I do not want to use 2 dif. credits for the same book.  I guess I should just ignore the 2nd request and see if the 1st one comes through.  Maybe,  I can check my transaction archive to see if there are answers there.  just wondering.

Today, I received a notice asking if I want this book from the site.

Was it an offer from your wishlist (can you see it on your main account page) or was the email saying that you can buy it from the site? If it is an offer on your main page, please don't ignore it or you might appear inactive and make the person who posted it wait longer than necessary. You should be able to select "Not Now" so the book can go to the next person in line. Then go to your wishlist and put it on hold. That way, you keep your place in line but don't get offered the book until you take it off of hold. If you have other versions of the book on your wishlist, put them on hold as well. Then when the book shows up from the first sender, you can delete them from your wishlist and marked it recieved from your Transaction Archive. This step is important as the sender probably didn't get credit for the book yet and you have your credit back, because if you have been waiting for over a month, the system marked it lost. Since it is not lost anymore, you owe them a credit now, bt be sure to verify that it came from the first sender and wasn't reordered from anyone else. If the book from the first sender never shows up (give it another month), then you can take the holds off all versions on your wishlist and wait for another copy.

This offer is from a new member, it sounds like the book in question was a Wish List book. When the first copy was marked lost, the system put it back on your Wish List. There should be a Not Now button on this new request. If you use that, it will turn down the current offer and put the book on hold on your Wish List. That will maintain your place and give some time for the first copy to show up. If you just ignore the offer, the system will cancel it and you will lose your spot in line for the book.
