Paul Maier has such a depth of knowledge about the early history of religion! This is a great book, and I enjoyed it very much. It would have rated more stars from me, but I took exception to his main characters being SO perfect: rich, educated, perfect marriage, perfect love, perfect life, and perfect discoveries. Good thing the plot was interesting, because these two were a little nauseating. Just my opinion! D.
