THIS Conveati... more »on, in the name and by the authority of the good People of this Stare, doth ordain, determine and declare, that no authority shall, on any pretence whatlbever, be exemi'ud over the people or members of this State, but fuch as shall be der,ved from and granted by them. II. This Convention dotlt further, in the name and by the authority of the good People of this State, ordain, determine and declare, that the Supreme Legil- lative posver, within this State, (hall he vetted in two feparate and dHtinct bodies of men—the one to be called, the Aflembly of the State of New-York—the other to be called, the Senate of the Staie of New-York— who together fhall form the Legiilature, and meet once at leaft in every year for the dilpatch of bufinels. III.
