im wondering how I could contact the person who has a particular book?

There's this one book that I've been looking for YEARS!!!!!! My mother had this one book that she had in high school in the 70's. We lost it when we moved from St. Louis back in the early 90's. I've been looking for this book for as long as I can remember. It was a poem book called "Reflections of Love" by George Kayatta. I came across this site, found the book and one line that is extremely familiar to me and found out that they do have the book in their list!

I would love to contact the person who owns the book. I would love to find out more if there are still more copies of this very special book left in the world?

It would mean soooooooo much to me to find this book.

Can't you just order the book and then PM them from there?

I'm not getting the question either. If someone has the book then order it. If it's on someone's WL then they haven't found it either adn you can add it to your WL.

Ashley, you pay one credit for the book.  You will get 2 free credits from PBS when you list your first 9 or 10 books (I forget which it is).

So, find some books you want to get rid of and post them to your bookshelf.  Then you can use one of those credits to request the book you want.

You will have to pay to mail out any books you put on your bookshelf that are requested by other members.  Or, you can go to the PBS kiosk and purchase a credit.

If you just want to talk about the book, you might be able to find people at a book discussion board who own it.  Perhaps try GoodReads or LibraryThing? But this is a book swapping site, so it's not set up for what you're looking for.

Well all books cost a credit here (unless someone is doing a deal).  You earn credits by mailing out books or buying them from PBS or other members.

You can discuss books here as well. But if you are looking to acquire the book from another member then you have to use a credit.

If you just want to PM them, you can click "order this book", then "order more from member" which will take you to their bookshelf.  From there, I think you can PM them.  But, most of the fun of PBS is the swapping!  Find 10 books you'd love to get rid of and post them so you can start getting new ones!
