I'm trying to put together a sample list for game that I am planning.  I'm looking for titles of books that are contemporary re-telling of Bible stories.  Can you guys give me any ideas?  Thanks!

One I just read that I think would qualify for this is  Lucifer's Flood by Linda Rios Brook.  It is about Lucifer being cast out of heaven and includes the stories of Noah, Abraham, Lot and mentions Moses at the end.  The story of Moses is continued in book 2, The Deliverer.

Angela hunt has several, one on Mary Magdelene and a series on Joseph, one of Moses and the women in his life.  They are great!

Liz Curis Higgs has  a 4 book series based on the story of Jacob, Leah & Rebecca- it's awesome...the books are titled Thorn in my Heart, Fair is the Rose, Whence Came a Prince, and Grace in Thine Eyes.  She has a new book based on Ruth & Naomi called Here Burns My Candle but it isn't being released until April 2010.  Francine Rivers also has a collection of novellas (I think that's the term) based on the women in the Lineage of Jesus- Unveiled, Unashamed, Unshaken, Unspoken, and Unafraid.  She has a similar series based on male figures in the Bible called The Priest, The Warrior, The Prince, The Prophet & The Scribe.  I'm sure there are many more out there too.
