I'll probably figure this out after I post this question, but how can I find out how many copies of a particular book are in the system?

Just add it to your reminder list, then when you go to the reminder list it will tell you how many are currently available in the system.

If you add it to your reminder list, then view it, you'll see how many are available.

It won't later tell you where you are in the FIFO, but it will tell you where you are at the moment you post it.

Isn't there any other way to find out the available copies for a book?  It's quite cumbersome to put dozens of books on my reminder list, then check the list, then remove them all.  It seems the best place for this info would be on one's bookshelf, and preferably also on each book's page.

Right now that's it.  Also don't let the high numbers discourage you.  I've posted books with 100 copies in the system and had them requested from FIFO or with a WL book I posted in just a couple of months.  On the flip side I've had the only copy of a book that sat on my shelf for a year before I donated it to the thrift store.

They have said they are working on a way to display on a book listing, how many copies are in the system and how many were requested the week before.  To give people an idea of how much activity a book is getting.
