I have two copies of the Lord of the Flies.  Both are under the same ISBN.  They show up in the system as paperback BUT one is a permabound hardcover and the other is an everbind hardcover.  They are in good condition but cannot be posted because of the wrong information in the system.  Is there anyone who would "gift" me a credit if I mailed out a copy to them?  I would love to have the credit to get something else.  Send us a personal message if you are interested in a copy.

When a book doesn't match the PBS listing, it usually means that the publisher chose to reuse an ISBN, and so more than one book was published with the ISBN. The listing was created for the other book.  Occasionally, though, the listing here can be wrong.  In either case, your books can be posted without an ISBN.  There's an option to do that from the yellow bar at the top of the Post Books page.

See this help doc regarding the paperback/hardcover dilemma.  The same rules apply if your book has a different title for the listing.

Posting your book without an ISBN avoids going around the PBS system and having someone gift you a credit for the book.  It affords more protection to both you and the requestor.
