I'm relatively new to Cormac McCarthy, but I think I've become a fan after reading his "Border Trilogy" (All the Pretty Horses, The Crossing, Cities of the Plain) and No Country for Old Men, and of course there are quite a few McCarthy books that I'm excited to read (Sutree, Blood Meridian, The Road, etc).  However, I'm usually not one to read all of the works of a particular author one after the other, preferring instead to mix things up with different authors, styles, genres, and switching between fiction and nonfiction.  So out of curiosity, if you really like the books of Cormac McCarthy, I'm interested to hear what other authors or books you really like.  They don't necessarily have to be similar in style or topic to McCarthy, but I thought it would be interesting to hear what other McCarthy fans are reading.

I like McCarthy from time to time.  Loved NCFOM, hated the Road.  I thought I'd really enjoy The Road, but I was bored by page 10.  One that I did love, which has a similar sort of theme to The Road and similar writing style was Jose Saramago's Blindness.
