Clever, clever. Even the title has triple meanings. Albert campion is so chic and intelligent. Definitely a must read for Allingham fans.

Ordered this book by mistake (same title, different in every other way). I'd never heard of Campion but I am a bit of a mystery fan. This book is well written and though it is formulaic (you figure out the culprit within the first 40 pages, but SHOCKER, there's a mystery villain at the end as well), it was actually quite enjoyable. The characters were distinct, very much unique in voice, and for a British author, she does a spot on American dialect for her sole Yank character. All in all, a very enjoyable read.
