I was just checking on a book I mailed and couldn't believe it took four days to go from my mail box to another part of Michigan.  Believe me I could have walked there faster.  Then four days to get to California ok I can accept that.  Only now it's sitting on a shelf somewhere and getting scanned since it shows on the 13th and twice on the 20th.

I got the request on the 5th of June and mailed it that day.  If I'm getting antsy what can the requester be going through?  I'd like to apologize to them and it's not my fault...lol.

Lol Geri, make me wonder if a postal clerk in Bell, California is reading your book during lunch break :-)

PS, didn't I hear that Bell is one of the major sorting centers for the SW region?  Hopefully, it will be on it's way again soon.

My heart sinks a little when I see a book of mine sitting in either Bell or Jacksonville.

Never thought of that!

Could be it's A Killer Workout (Fat City Mystery, Bk 2) Author: Kathryn Lilley so maybe they're looking for tips on dieting.

Some distribution centers seem notorious for slowing things down. Others move things along very quickly. I've noticed that ones that are in Bell, CA often will get two or three scans like that, sometimes several days apart.

Now, in contrast I mailed one on June 18 and got a thanks today.  It went to Texas with no prob.

This is a fun day.  I'm looking at the books I've mailed that haven't been delivered yet.  One of them is taking a very round about route.  It left Michigan and went south for a little and now it's heading norrh again.  The ultimate destination is out west...lol.

caviglia, I think my heart is sinking with yours.  I have another book sitting on a shelf in Bell, CA!  Another is plunked down in Colorado.  Well, I hope if people have ordered books from me they can see I'm concerned about their delivery.

Now, my favorite transaction is requested on June 18, mailed June 18 and delivered June 22.  Yes!

I had one book I was waiting for and thought for sure it was lost. Well, it had been delivered to my post office (I have a p.o. box that I was using for getting books for awhile) and it sat on their shelf for a WEEK before they remembered to put a notice in my box so I could pick it up! (Hence my now getting packages at home...)

Hooray!  Bell, CA delivered that book.  I guess the worker who was reading it finally finished it...lol.  Today was a good day for deliveries.  Four of the books I've mailed hit their new homes and one I requested is in my hands.  Now, I'm waiting to get some from Hawaii.  My first Hawaii book!
