I just flew through this book, it is just stinking hilarious! It was so hard not to laugh so loud because it was always in the early AM when I read this but... it could't be helped. It truly is laugh out loud funny.

The whole moving around of George's body, priceless! This will defenitely be one of those books I'll read again and again and again. A must read for any Historical Romance lover.

The first in a series of the Madison Sisters. I really liked this story. There were unanswered questions from the start and even now, as I await the next installment, I still am wondering what will happen next.

The first of three sisters, Christiana is tricked into marriage to a horrible man who surprisingly enough has a twin brother covieniently returned from the Americas after supposedly being killed and having his identity stolen.

The twins were polar opposites and now the heroine finds herself "married" to a kind and gentle version of what she had. The chemistry between the two isn't exactly as I would have liked. I think the relationship could've developed a little slower, but if that's a trade off for actually not knowing what was going to happen next in the plot, I'm for it :)

Definate recommended read. Looking forward to Suzette's story in the next book, "The Heiress".

A screwball comedy. That is what is book is. It is a light, fluffy, easy read that I couldn't put down. The body moving scenes were hysterical, and the rest of the plot just flowed so well. There were no heavy emotional, serious scenes with intense drama, and the book didn't need them. It is a great way to spend an afternoon. At the end of the book, I was left with a smile on my face, and wishing Suzette and Daniel's story was out already.

I read the second book first and I really wished Sands had combined the two books because there are too many repeated scenes in the two.

There was a bit of humor and I enjoyed the drunken scenes probably the best.

The series isn't worth the credit or real money, but if you find it for free or can borrow from a library it can be amusing. Especially if you can read the "Countess" and the "Heiress" back to back and skim read the repeated scenes. The two combined stories makes it feel more complete.

I was very eager to read this , as I really enjoy Lynsay Sands writing. But this was very boring. Characters not well done. Barely had any of the usually Lynsay Sand's humor.

Loved this book. It was hilarious and I was laughing out loud through quite a bit of it. What to do with the body? Who murdered Dicky-George? The scene where Christiana was trying to see Dicky-Richard's strawberry birthmark had me rolling. The ways they thought of to dispose of George's body are funny. It was a quirky romance, and quite enjoyable. Finished it in one day. Pat

Christiana has been married to who she thought was Richard Fairgrave, the Earl of Radnor for the past year. The year has been filled with so much emotional abuse that she is just a shell of the free spirit she once was. One day her sisters show up and tell her that their father has once again gambled away all their money and that Suzette needs to find a husband quick so that she can tap into her dower to save them from ruin. Unfortunately, Richard dies (poisoned by someone) before they can put in motion any plans. Now the sisters have to try and hide the body so that they don't have to go into mourning for a year. I never laughed so hard!

Now enter the real Richard Fairgrave! His twin brother, George, had thought he killed him and then he took over his life. Richard escaped and now has returned to seek his revenge...only to find out George is dead! Kind of puts a crimp in his revenge plans. He also finds out that he is married to Christiana. Bonus! Richard's best friend Daniel convinces him to just step into George's shoes to avoid scandal on Christiana and her sisters. Now it is their turn to figure out what to do with the body!

When the real Richard Fairgrave shows up at the ball that the girls are attending, they are besides themselves thinking he has come back from the dead! Early on Richard reveals to Christiana who he really is and together they try to figure out how to avoid scandal and find out who has killed George. At the same time, they are growing closer to each other and eventually give into their own temptation...:)

This book had me laughing out loud many times! I have been a fan of Lynsay Sands for a long time and have enjoyed her Argeneau and Rogue Hunter series immensely. Her historical romance books are just as good. There are several things going on at once in this book and the interactions between the characters are wicked fun! Even to just read this book to see how many times George's body is moved is worth it! It also sets up for Ms. Sands next book The Heiress which features Richard's friend Daniel and Christiana's sister Suzette. Can't wait!

This book was a good book. I read this one and the second book in the series and Lynsay Sands is a good author. I would enjoy reading more of her books.

The fairy tale courtship did not turn into a happily-ever after...
Not until her husband dropped dead, that is. He had been horrible to Christiana during their short marriage, and she was not going to allow the traditional period of mourning to ruin her sister' debuts as well. So she decides to put him on ice and go on as if nothing's happened...
Until the real earl appears. Richard Fairgrave had every intention of confronting his villainous twin who had robbed him of his name and title...only to discover that he had died. Quietly assuming his identity, Richard must now deal with a maddening desire for his ravishing inherited "wife"-certainly a gold digger and possible a murderess. And Christiana must deal with an unwanted new "husband"..and they both must figure out what to do before the ice melts!

Lynsay Sands is one of my favorite authors. Her books are always so funny and the romantic chemistry between the h/h is perfect. This books is no exception. I love this book and book 2. I hope there will be a book 3 in this series.

I wish I could say I enjoyed this book, but I just didn't. I got it for the reviews that said the dead body scenes were funny but I just didn't find them so. In fact, I ended up not even finishing this - I hope someone else enjoys it but it just wasn't for me.
