Do you all know there is a book in the PBS collection called Motherland: Beyond the Holocaust, by Fern Chapman?

The description says it is about a daughter who seeks to learn her mother's experience with it.

And there was another book (memoir) called Looking for Lost Bird, by Yvette Melanson and Claire Safran.  It's about a Jewish woman with Navaho 'roots'.    Just more proof that Truth is Stranger than Fiction . . . .

and there is a copy of Irene Nemirovsky's novel available through PBS----and it only came to light 64 years after she perished at the hands of the Nazis.  The book is entitled "Suite Francaise".

This book is about an adopted girl raised in Far Rockaway, New York about the same time that I lived in Rockaway. It was an interesting read.
