I highly recommend "The Courage to Write: How Writers Transcend Fear" by Ralph Keyes to all aspiring writers.

Ralph Keyes has some keen insight into what keeps the ordinary person from actually sitting down, writing and publishing something they've always wanted to write. He takes a look at all the facets of the writing life and, in a sometimes humorous and always sympathetic tone, explores the many reasons becoming a published writer takes an enormous amount of courage.

Anyone who has sat before a blank page completely terrified at the prospect of typing the first sentence will love and appreciate the guidance Mr. Keyes shares. It just may give you the needed boost to start your own life as a writer.
