Hallie is spending the summer with her mother's childhood best friend, while she recovers from mono. She and Anjelica(her mother's best friends daughter) end up becoming great friends. There is a murderer on the loose and the girls and their friend Jess are working to solve the case. Not so much of a love story, but it was a good read.
