This story stands out from the crowd of the desire series and even of romance novels in general. With characters that you get to know: a gentle, stubborn, prideful, old-fashioned cowboy and a modern, liberated, loving woman. The courtship and love come after the marriage, while they are living on an Oklahoma ranch. With quirky minor characters and the ways that these two clash, humor is a big part of the story. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end.
