I've been reading a lot of paranormal lately and I need a change of pace. I'm in the mood for a good cowboy romance but am not sure where to start. I don't care if it's contemporary or historical. Do you ladies have any suggestions? Thanks!! Jenn |

sarah mccarty's promises is historical western erotic romance..pretty good though. stacey kayne's mustang wild and maverick wild are harlequin western historicals and both were good IMO haven't read these but I've seen them recommended here before" nora roberts' 'lawless'(think this is hers!), leigh greenwood?, and linda lael miller has cowboy stories mckettricks I think is the family name that go from historical to contemporary..think joan johnston does the same..have both in my TBR pile.. |

Elizabeth Lowell has some awesome cowboy books. She can burn up the pages before the 2 are even touching too! Some Historicals are Only You, Only His, Only Mine, Reckless Love. Some contemporaries are Outlaw, Granite Man, Warrior, Too Hot To Handle, Fire and Rain, Beautiful Dreamer, Sweet Wild Wind, Valley of the Sun. These are all short but excellent books, really should be keepers but I probably don't have them any more. Maybe you can find someone to give you a deal, lots of these are series. Anne |

Definitely Linda Lael Miller, Catherine Anderson. I just read Lawless by Diana Palmer and it was terrific - its a contemporary. |

For erotica cowboys:
-Sarah McCarty's Hell's Eight Series (Fabulous historicals): Caine's Reckoning, Sam's Creed -Mac's Law by Sarah McCarty -Roping the Wind by Kate Pearce -A Tall Dark Cowboy -A Hard Man to Love by Kathleen Lawless -Crazy for the Cowboy (cute funny erotica romance) (Can anyone tell I have a thing for cowboys lol.) I LOVE Linda Lael Miller also. -My Outlaw was one of my favorites. Its a timeswept romance. The heroine falls backwards in time. - The McKettrick Series, The The McKettrick Men Series, The McKettrick Cowboys trilogy -Deadly Gamble and Deadly Deceptions -Two Brothers: The Lawman / The Gunslinger (2 Books in 1) by Linda Lael Miller (couldnt remember so ahd to look it up)

For a true cowboy love story, you may want to take a look at The Pioneer Woman.com She writes:"GREEN ACREA MEETS HARLEQUIN ROMANCE IN MY CRAZY, RIP-ROARIN REAL-LIFE TALE OF TRUE LOVE. Warning: HAVE A COLD SHOWER HANDY!" This is a on-line novel in the works. I found it a very fun read! |

I'm a fan of the pioneer woman.com website too. I'm so jealous of her love story and life!! Except for the homeschooling her kids part, i don't have the patience for that. |
