Cowboys and Cattle Country is a marvelous work of Old West nostalgia. It hits the mark that movies and TV programs have missed. From the old original cowboy (the vaquero), to the long dusty cattle drives, to the waning years of the open range, this volume will cover it all. Complemented by beautiful artwork, it satisfies that bittersweet longing for people and things of the past. If you like Westerns and the reporting style of non-fiction work, this book is well worth your while.
